The Annandale Cardinal football team held its awards banquet on Sunday, Dec. 2.
"By two or three weeks into the season, I was thinking that this team could be something special," said Cardinal head coach Matt Walter. "It sure was."
Cardinal 2018 Team accomplishments included:
■ Battle for the Paddle won for the fourth year in a row.
■ East Central South District champions with 5-1 district record.
■ Led the East Central District in interceptions
■ Section 5-3A champions
■ State quarterfinalists
■ 9-2 overall record, including a nine game winning streak
