The Annandale ambassadors were at the Princeton Rum River Festival on Thursday, June 9, to attend Princeton’s parade and coronation. While there, however, they unexpectedly had the opportunity to meet one of their predecessors. Ardis (Kersten), approached the float before the parade began and, while talking with them, shared that she had been Miss Annandale in 1966. ‘It was an honor to speak to her and hear about how things were back then with the ambassador program compared to now,’ said current Miss Annandale Brooke Brower. ‘Ardis said that the princesses never came with her to events, they didn’t have a float, and she never attended the Minneapolis Aquatennial. She was a very sincere lady and it was very fun and cool to meet her.’
