Regular Meeting of the School Board – May 20, 2024 at 7:00 pm
1. Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Board members present: Katie Jones, Jon Scheer, Gena Jacobson, Jennifer Mealey and Dillon Dougherty. Student Representative: Atalie Druga and Mariah Klippenes. Absent: Melissa Muehring-Paulson.
3. Mealey moved to approve the agenda items. Scheer seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

B. Jacobson moved to approve the following 23-25 contract(s). Mealey seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

C. Consider adoption of a resolution to terminate the contract(s) of a probationary teacher(s)
1. Sarah Onstad (roll call vote) Mealey made a motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scheer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mealey, Dougherty, Jacobson, Scheer and Jones. And the following voted against the same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
2. Nicole Olesen (roll call vote) Mealey made a motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scheer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mealey, Dougherty, Jacobson, Scheer and Jones. And the following voted against the same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
D. Scheer moved to approve the following 24-25 Contracts. Mealey seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
1. Sarah Onstad – Family & Consumer Science Teacher – High School
2. Stacie Braun – Social Worker – Elementary
3. Kate LaTour – Special Education EBD Teacher – Elementary School
E. Scheer moved to approve and adopt the May Resolution Accepting Donations. Jacobson seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
F. Mealey moved to approve three policies in the review cycle. Jacobson seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
9. Information Items
A. The next monthly meeting will be at the Annandale Elementary School on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 7:00 pm held in person in the media center.
10. Mealey made the motion to adjourn at 7:28 pm. Scheer seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

Notice is given that on August 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., a hearing will be held remotely via Zoom in this Court at Buffalo, Minnesota, for the formal probate of an instrument purporting to be the Will of the Decedent dated, May 27, 2021, (“Will”), and for the appointment of Byron E. Hanson as Personal Representative of the Estate of the Decedent in an UNSUPERVISED administration. Any objections to the petition must be filed with the Court prior to or raised at the hearing. If proper and if no objections are filed or raised, the Personal Representative will be appointed with full power to administer the Estate including the power to collect all assets, to pay all legal debts, claims, taxes and expenses, to sell real and personal property, and to do all necessary acts for the Estate. Please contact Wright County Court Administration at 763-760-6300 for instructions for appearing remotely.
Notice is also given that (subject to Minnesota Statutes section 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the Personal Representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

ORDINANCE NO. 418
ADOPTING CHAPTER 33- ELECTIONS
The Council of the City of Annandale, Minnesota does hereby ordain:
Section 1. That the Annandale City Code be amended by the addition of Chapter 33. Chapter 33 shall be entitled “Elections” and shall read as follows:
SECTION 30.01: PURPOSE AND INTENT:
It is the intent of this chapter to establish terms of office for elected officials. This chapter provides a uniform time for holding elections and taking office.
SECTION 30.02: ELECTED OFFICIALS; TIME AND TERM:
(A)The following officers shall be elected for the terms and in the years shown in the following table:

(B)From the date of next subsequent elections specified in subsection A of this section, officers shall be elected at regular intervals for the terms specified in said subsection A.
(C)New terms shall begin and each old term shall expire on the first Monday of January in the year following the election of the officer.
(D)Elections shall be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November in each even numbered year.“
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall go into effect upon passage and publication.
