Letters to the Editor-October 30, 2019

An informative vaping article From: Jerry Motz, Richfield Thank you for publishing the article on illegal vaping in the Wednesday, Oct. 16, Annandale Advocate. This very well written article by Kathy Clemence was very informative and detailed concerning the dangers of vaping to the younger generation. The comments by health officials on different types of devices used, health impacts, and challenges for school employees, law enforcement and parents were invaluable! Thank you to all involved for exposing this threat to our society. Editor’s note: Motz is a former Clearwater Lake cabin owner.

An exhortation to husbands From: Herold Neumann, Annandale Solomon may have been a wise man. This might be an item he did not address. There are items that after a long marriage have become facts. ■ For me, there is a difference between the words “pretty” and “beauty.” Pretty is on the outside while beauty is the inner being. I will use the word “beauty” as an item that grows from within and it grows with time. The word “love” could be used but it has many meanings and is used frivolously. ■ The wife makes use of cosmetics to maintain or enhance her “pretty.” She does this for your benefit and hers. “Beauty” began with marriage that is designed for you only; it is slow in growth and never stops growing. ■ Why or what made you to ask the girl to marry you? You have your reasons based on wanting a (help mate) partner. You will never know why she accepted you. ■ As the years increase so does the feeling of comfort, getting to know each other’s wants and thoughts to the point of taking her for granted. That is a no-no. She wants your attention always, because she has much to offer. ■ Now hear this: You will not realize her worth until she is gone! You have said “I love you” or “you are pretty” when you see her all dressed up without thinking much about, it meant the world to her. You will still regret not saying that enough, try taking her in your arms and slowly tell her she is beautiful even when she is in her work clothing. You cannot overdo it! Post note: In the Book of Proverbs 31:10 there is an epilogue; The wife of noble character. Read it. Appreciate the beauty of your wife! May the Lord that created you and marriage bless and keep you.
