Foundation celebrates 20 years

This year marks the Community Health Foundation’s 20th anniversary, and the organization is celebrating with a fundraiser from years past.  The fall event, entitled “A Victorian Evening,” is being held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at Reichel’s Catering and Event Center in Annandale and promises to be an event not to be missed. The committee, co-chaired by Sheila Melgard and Sue Demeules, has created one of the most elegant and exciting events ever for Wright County, all with a distinctive Victorian f lair.  The social hour begins with wine and beer tasting courtesy of Gluek Brewery (Cold Spring) and Northern Vineyard (Stillwater), during which representatives of both companies will give a personal guided sampling tour of some of their best products! The silent auction is outstanding, including a week’s holiday in a luxurious retreat in Whitefish, Mont., Victorian high tea for eight people, certificates for medical skin care treatments, as well as many other amazing items.  Miller’s Jewelry of Annandale has also donated a quarter carat diamond, which attendees will have a chance to win. The diamond winner will be announced at the conclusion of the evening.  Following the buffet supper, which includes beef, chicken and shrimp, guests will be treated to “A Taste of Wright County”– an incredible dessert buffet featuring some of the best treats from restaurants and caterers of our own communities. Over 1,000 desserts have been arranged for this evening, including crème brule, tiramisu, and handmade truffles.   Tickets for this event may be purchased by check or Visa by calling 763-684-1477.   The Community Health Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health and quality of life of people in our communities.
