On Tuesday, Aug. 8, residents of Annandale School District 876 voted down a referendum that would have built a new high school to replace the existing middle school. In unofficial voting totals, 1,820 district residents voted no to the $98.7 million bond, to 1,376 who voted yes. Almost 57% of voters said no to 43 percent who voted yes. This was the third attempt at replacing the middle school. Two other votes failed in 2021.
