Violet Irene Jacobson

Violet Irene Jacobson, 89, of Annandale, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2007, at the Annandale Care Center.   A private memorial service and interment were held for the immediate family at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale.   Survived by daughters, Joy Lobeck of Apple Valley, Janice (Robert) Bowman of Annandale, Joan (Gary) Lindmeyer of Maple Lake; sons, James Jacobson and John (Cheryl) Jacobson both of Annandale; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Ronholt and Kathleen "Kay" Wilmot and brothers, Tom (Marvel) Cornish, Fred Cornish and Raymond Cornish.   Preceded in death by husband, Harvey; sister, Edna Lewis; infant brother, Merritt; son-in-law, Ronald Lobeck and daughter-in-law, Sandra Jacobson.   Violet Irene Jacobson was born on October 9, 1917, in Spirit River, Alberta, Canada to Jesse and Maggie (Tedford) Cornish. She married Harvey Jacobson on May 6, 1939, in Britton S.D. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1984. Violet and Harvey made their home in Minneapolis before retiring to Cedar Lake in 1980. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed activities with all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to all her friends and those caregivers associated with the Centennial Villa Care Services and the Annandale Care Center.
