Ronald R. Karie, age 77, of South Haven, MN died peacefully Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at his home with all his loved ones at his side. Ronald was born Jan. 15, 1944, at his home in French Lake Township to Axel and Elma Karie. Ronald enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, sitting on the swing enjoying a beer by the campfire, and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. Ronald worked as a plant operator for Mid Minnesota Hot Mix for several years. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2017. Ronald is survived by his wife Diane, son Kyle Karie, daughter Heidi (Jesse) Frost. Grandchildren Lexi, Hunter and Keaton Karie, Carley and Kylie Frost. One great-grandchild Elayna Karie. Very special friend Marit, sisters-in-law Joyce Tessmer and Doris Karie. Sisters Eunice (Jerry) Abrahamson and Marilyn Welte. Brothers Deane and Darryl Karie. Lots of nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Axel and Elma Karie, father and mother-in-law Carl and Harriet Walberg, brother Allen Karie and brother-in-law Curtis Welte. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 8, 2022, at the French Lake Town Hall.
