
Carol A. Sjodahl, age 83, of Norwood, formerly of Annandale, died at her home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Memorial serviceswill be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Alex Becker will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Annandale. Carol Ann Baker was born Jan. 29, 1940, in Minneapolis to Peter and Iva (Gephart) Baker. She grew up in Minneapolis, graduating with the Class of 1958 from Roosevelt High School. She was united in marriage to Richard Sjodahl on April 6, 1963, in Prescott, Wisconsin. They lived in Northeast Minneapolis prior to moving to Annandale in 1973. Carol worked as a secretary at numerous locations while they lived in Minneapolis and as a secretary at Bendix Elementary School after they moved to Annandale. She enjoyed line dancing, bowling, crocheting, completing puzzles, playing cards, wintering in Ft. Meyers, Florida and hanging out with friends and family. She is survived by her children, Sherri (Tom) Harwarth of Norwood and Craig (Lori) Sjodahl of Falcon Heights; grandchildren, Daniel and Kristie Sjodahl; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Donald and Edward Baker; and infant siblings, Richard and Doris Baker. The urn bearers will be Daniel, Kristie and Lori Sjodahl, and Tom Harwarth. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
