Mark Anthony Johnson was born to George and Marie (Bullock) Johnson in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, on August 24, 1956. He was a 1975 graduate of Annandale High School. Throughout his life, Mark resided in the same house on Cherry Avenue, cherishing the memories and moments woven into the very fabric of his home. During the Christmas season, he loved to display his collection of Santas.

After working for his father in the concrete business, Mark worked for both Airlift Doors and T.O. Plastics. As a dedicated employee of St. Ignatius, he lent his hard work and talents, as a maintenance employee for several years. Mark lived a life characterized by unwavering dedication and selflessness. As the primary caregiver for his mother for 25 years, Mark exemplified the true meaning of devotion, compassion, and sacrifice. His commitment to family extended beyond measure, embodying a rare sense of loyalty and love.

In February 2021, Mark received the challenging diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer. Undeterred, he courageously faced his illness with unwavering strength, resilience, and optimism, inspiring all who witnessed his valiant battle. He received many treatments such as spine surgery, radiation, medications, chemotherapy, and injected radiation, all with the help of Allina and U of M oncologists.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Kevin (Patti) Johnson of Ramsey, Dennis Johnson of Oak Lawn, Illinois, and Susan (Wally) Johnson of Little Falls; nephew, Nick (Tricia); nieces, Renee and CJ; great-nephews, Owen and Luke; and great-nieces, Greta and Brenna; and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie; and brother-in-law, Ken Petrich.
