
Sharon L. Johnson, age 79, of Annandale, died on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Fr. Tom Olson will officiate. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, French Lake.
Sharon Louise Connelly was born on June 3, 1945, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Marvin “Bill” and Martha (Rice) Connelly. She lived in St. Cloud, prior to Sharon’s family moving to Annandale when she was a little girl. She graduated from Annandale High School with the Class of 1963 and lived the rest of her life in town. On June 22, 1963, Sharon married the love of her life, Melvin Johnson, in Cokato. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Sharon dedicated herself to her family and worked for many years, serving the community through various roles. She worked at Red Owl and spent over two decades at Glazier Coast to Coast before retiring from Walmart.
Sharon found joy in crocheting, sewing, crafting, bowling, baking, and canning. She took pride in creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones and sharing delicious treats from her kitchen. Sharon’s passions, kindness, and unwavering support for those she loved will be deeply missed.
Sharon is survived by her children, Timothy (Lisa) Johnson of Annandale and Barbara Johnson-Larson (Tom Larson) of South Haven; sister, Phyllis Lamke of Bemidji; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elaine Connelly of Annandale, Lorraine Hicks of Elk River, Karen and Mike Carlisle of Deerwood, Donna Reil of St. Michael, Duane Johnson of Annandale, and Marlene Peterson of Cokato; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Connelly; husband, Melvin Johnson; brother, Joe Connelly; and brothers-in-law, Roland Lamke, Harlen Johnson, Jerry Hicks, Floyd Johnson, and Butch Reil.
Sharon’s son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
