Warren Lee Hartman, age 76, of Annandale passed away unexpectedly at home with wife Char by his side on August 19, 2025. Warren was the son of Paul and Mary Hartman, born in Lima, Ohio, on May 22, 1949. Warren graduated from Howe Military Academy in 1968. Warren and Charlotte Riedemann were united in marriage on October 25, 1969. He was employed by World-Wide Inc until 1994 when he was promoted to a business agent with the Minneapolis Meatcutters union Local 653 until his retirement in 2012.
Warren and Char joined bowling and golf leagues. Warren was a scout leader, he loved coaching baseball, trap shooting and being “the judge” at the muskie tournaments. He never missed any of his kids’ and grandkids’ activities. Warren became a great angler with impressive catches from both fresh and salt water. He was an avid hunter with a legendary shot! His sweet voice was a hit with children, and he made Christmas memorable for hundreds of kids each year by playing his favorite role, SANTA! He was a beautiful singer with a voice worthy of being a choir lead. Above all Warren was a true friend to all who knew him, an unconditionally supportive father to Paul and Sarah, the best Papa ever and a loving, appreciative husband to Char, his wife of 56 years.
In 1992, Warren and Char fulfilled their life’s dream of moving to their beautiful home they designed and built together on the pristine shores of Lake Sylvia. Warren was preceded in death by his father Paul Reese and mother Mary Rowena Hartman. He is survived by his wife Charolette Jean, son Paul (Kimberly) Hartman, daughter Sarah (Jeff) Schmidt, grandchildren, Gracie and Lilly, Max (Ali), Maddy (Mitchell), and Abby, step grandchildren Owen, Reegan, Lauren, Vanessa and Emily, great granddaughter Blakely, “OLDER” sisters Paula Rae (Don), Linda Jane, many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
Warren will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
