Ellen L. Hanson, 89, of St. Cloud, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Country Manor in Sartell.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 7, at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
She is survived by her many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edla Ranta; husband, Herbert Hanson; brothers, Wilho, Arvo, Waino, Leslie and Melvin Ranta; and sisters, Mabel Wanhala, Bertha Loop and Verna Crowley.
Laila Ellen Hanson was born March 4, 1925, in Kingston Township to William and Edla (Savola) Ranta. She graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1944.
Ellen married Herbert Walter Hanson on Aug. 31, 1946, at North Crow River Lutheran Church in rural Cokato. She worked as a farmer’s wife, at KP Manufacturing and as a teller at the State Bank of Kimball. Ellen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
