Playing a game delayed due to weather, when the fourth-seeded Cardinals softball team did finally get a chance to finish the game, the team came away with a playoff-opening 10-0 home win via ten-run rule in five innings over the 13th-seeded Watertown-Mayer Royals on May 19. With the win, the team advanced into the double elimination portion of the Section 5AA Softball Tournament.
