Mr. Robert H. Gordon, 88, of Maple Lake died Sunday, September 16, 2001 at the Buffalo Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, at the Annandale United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Schut officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Annandale. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. There will be a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel in Annandale with Rev. Ken Felska officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Irene C. of Maple Lake, five children and their spouses, Hanford of Maple Lake, Larry and Betty of Maple Lake, Dennis of Burbank, Calif., Judy and Gordon Bryan of St. Louis Park, Faith and Terry Christensen of Hutchinson, sister, Marilyn Gordon of South Haven, brother-in-law, Warren Christopher of Cokato, three cousins, Myra Prevost of Annandale, Leona Henneman of Buffalo, Elvira Spaude of Minneapolis, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
His granddaughter, Debbie Searcy, great-granddaughter, Miranda Biedler, brother, Ralph, and sister Erma Christopher preceded him in death.
Robert H. Gordon was born January 31, 1913 to Earl S. and Elfreda (Pisak) Gordon in Corinna Township, Wright County where he lived his entire lifetime. He married Irene C. Klemz on June 11, 1940 in Zion Lutheran Church, Corinna Township. He was a farmer and carpenter, and then worked for T.O. Plastics in Clearwater for several years, retiring in 1975. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; also the outdoors, fishing, listening to Christian music, and reading his Bible.
