Strand named to president’s list
Donald Strand of Annandale was named to the spring 2016 semester president’s list at the Minnesota State Community and Technical College. To qualify for the list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while completing at least 12 credits.
Area students honored at NDSU
A number of area students were named to the spring 2016 semester dean’s list at North Dakota State University. To qualify for the list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 while enrolled in at least 12 credits.
Students from Annandale included: Courtney Fuchs, majoring in biology; Nicholas Johnson, agribusiness; Anna Peterson, animal science; and Jackson Triplett, agricultural systems management.
Also named to the dean’s list was Alexander Jansen of Clearwater, who is majoring in architecture.
Morris makes dean’s list at UM, Morris
Tayler Morris of South Haven was named to the spring 2016 semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota, Morris. To qualify for the list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.66 or higher while taking 12 or more credits.
Chamberlin honored at Moorhead
Gavin Chamberlin of Annandale was named to the spring 2016 semester dean’s list at Minnesota State University Moorhead. To qualify for the list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.25 or higher while taking 12 or more graded credits.
Three graduate from Gustavus Adolphus
Three area students graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with Bachelor of Arts degrees following the spring 2016 semester.
David Hoien of Annandale graduated cum laude with a degree in economics. Rachel Arnold of South Haven graduated cum laude with a degree in health fitness. Mariah Benn of Clearwater graduated summa cum laude with a degree in social studies teaching.
Miller awarded WH scholarship
Isaac Millner of Annandale is one of 19 students in Wright-Hennepin’s service territory who were awarded a collective total of $27,400 in scholarships this year. A ceremony honoring those students was held on Thursday, May 19, at Wright-Hennepin’s Rockford headquarters. One student per school district is awarded. The scholarships are funded largely through donations from WH’s diversified businesses.
