The school house was broken into sometime during last Sunday. The building is secured by the best locks obtainable, and parties capable of picking them are capable of picking any lock. There was nothing of value taken, but the trail they left behind seems to be that of youngsters, or of some undeveloped mind. Some electric fixtures were broken and paint daubed on desks and the floor, and things were generally mixed up.

Motorists have reported some close calls with children riding bikes in Annandale – much too close for comfort. Some small fry ride in a weaving way, some zoom around a corner in a split second and some are just plain forgetful. Parents, please talk to your lively child and help him or her to stay alive. A gay, carefree child wheeling happily on his bike is apt to forget that he’s but a minor bit of weight compared to an auto of about two and a half tons.
