■ The Annandale High School bands were scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the high school Performing Arts Center. All are invited to this free concert.
■ All are welcome to join the Snohaven Drift Demons Snowmobile Club, which meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, October through April, at the Hitching Post on Highway 24. The latest meeting was scheduled for Nov. 10. Be a part of a fun group that supports maintenance of 60-plus miles of snowmobile trails in the Annandale and South Haven area.
■ American Legion Post 131 was scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the post in Maple Lake. The auxiliary meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, and the Sons of Legion group next meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. New members are welcome.
■ Maple Lake’s Veterans Day program will be held in the high school auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with the elementary presentation at 9 a.m. followed by the high school program at 10 a.m. This year’s speakers are Sgt. Randal Mavencamp and his son, First Sgt. Theodore Mavencamp. The programs are sponsored by Maple Lake Senior Connections and the M.L. Lions.
■ Annandale Middle School’s Veterans Day program will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in the middle school gym. The guest speaker will be Major Lloyd Johnson. The public is invited to the school to honor veterans in a program conducted by the student body.

■ St John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo will host its 47th annual Country Fair for Missions from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. It’s a one stop shop for your holiday shopping needs. ■ St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Annandale is hosting an all-you-can-eat Dad’s Belgian Waffle breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. There is a fee for all over age 5. Carry-outs available. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at the parish office. All proceeds benefit the global connection with the church’s sister parish, St. Vincent Ferrer, of Pacuan, Phillipines.

■ The next meeting of the Annandale Area Chamber of Commerce will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Annandale Elementary School. All members and prospective members are invited.
■ The Annandale Kiwanis Club will meet at noon on Thursday, Nov. 19, in the lower level at Southbrook. AHS Key Club President Bailey Reiger-Borer and vice-president Maddie Jonas will talk about the club’s activities for the year. All are invited.
■ The Annandale High School fall play will take place in the high school Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21, and 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22.
■ The Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church will hold its ninth annual chili supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. The church is located at 71580 CSAH 27, one quarter mile west of Highway 15. There will also be a craft and baked goods sale. Proceeds from donations will go to the church’s building fund.

■ The Taste of Dassel event is planned from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Dassel History Center, 901 First St. N. Scandinavian fare will be served for a free will donation. That event will be followed by the Taste of Art at 1 p.m., featuring the opening of a new art exhibit titled "What Is It?" This exhibit features abstract art from the collection of Kurt and Paula Meyer. Kurt, an engaging and educational speaker, will give a gallery talk at 1 p.m. Free admission.
