
ANNANDALE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 876 SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2020
1. Jones called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.
2. Board members present were: Gena Jacobson, Katie Jones, Jennifer Mealey, Melissa Muehring-Paulson, Jon Scheer, and Paul Zabinski. Absent: Student Representative Noelle Scheer.
3. Mealey moved to approve the agenda with no additions. Scheer seconded. Motion Passed by roll call vote 6-0.

6. Zabinski moved to approve the following items under the consent agenda. Muehring-Paulson seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0. a. Approval of the April 27, 2020 meeting minutes.
b. Approval of the May check register.
Acceptance of the May donations.
$2000 from Annandale Improvement Club for the AHS Scholarship fund.
$150 from Winifred Kramer for the Robotics Team Activity fund.
$588 from Annandale Lions Club for the Jordan family Scholarship fund.
$2000 from Randy and Amy Unzicker for the Athletics Activity fund.
$540 from the Annandale Lions Club for the Jordan family Scholarship fund.
$1500 from Malco Products SBC. for the AHS Scholarship fund.

8. New Business a. Jacobson moved to approve the purchase of a vehicle for the Behind the Wheel program. Mealey seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
b. Member Jones introduced the Resolution for termination and non renewal of a probationary teacher, Roseanne Hansen. Scheer moved for the adoption of the foregoing resolution and was duly seconded by Zabinski. Upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Scheer, Jacobson, Mealey, Muehring-Paulson, Zabinski and Jones. And the following voted against the same: None. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
c. Approval of New Contracts 1. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Ryan Meehl—MS EBD Special Education Teacher. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by roll call vote 6-0. 2. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Jessika Cuhel—HS Academic & Behavior Specialist. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by roll call vote 6-0.
3. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Taylor Peterson—MS Special Education SLD Teacher. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by roll call vote 6-0. 4. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Matthew Massmann—MS Physical Education & Health teacher. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by roll call vote 6-0. 5. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Rosanne Hansen—ES 0.5 Art teacher. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0. 6. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Holly DuHoux—MS Art. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0. 7. Jacobson made a motion to approve the contract for Megan Hassing—HS 0.5 English Teacher. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
d. Approval of policies in the policy review cycle.
1. Mealey moved to approve policy 508 Extended School Year for certain students with an individualized education program. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
2. Mealey moved to approve policy 509 Enrollment of non resident students. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
3. Mealey moved to approve policy 510 Student Activities. Scheer seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
e. Zabinski moved to adopt the new required policy 806 Crisis Management Policy. Jacobson seconded. Motion passed by a roll call vote 6-0.
f. Update on Graduation.
g. Introduction to using Google for meeting management.
9. Informational items.
a. The next monthly school board meeting is Monday, June 29, 2020 at 7:00 pm.
10. Mealey made a motion to adjourn at 7:51 pm. Jacobson seconded. Motion passed by roll call vote 6-0.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 876 shall begin on July 28, 2020, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 11, 2020. The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each. OPEN SEAT CLEARWATER RIVER WATERSHED DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Notice is hereby given by the Wright County Board of Commissioners that an opening currently exists for a three-year term for one of the seats on the Clearwater River Watershed Board of Managers. The term will expire August 13, 2023. The Clearwater River Watershed District is governed by a five-member Board of Managers. Each manager must be a resident of the District and may not be a county, state or federal government public office, except for a SWCD (Soil & Water Conservation District) supervisor. SOUTHSIDE TOWNSHIP SPECIAL MEETING
The Southside Township Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 for the purpose of discussing improvements to 62nd St NW. The meeting will be held at Southside Township Hall, 8209 County Road 3 NW, Annandale MN. Township Engineer Ron Bray of WSB Engineering will present the feasibility study done May 2020. The Board would like feedback concerning the improvement plan and costs and interest of the residents in making the improvements. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
