A. Special meeting date will need to be set to canvas election results between November 11th to November 18th. The date set for the Special Meeting is November 14, 2022 at 7:30 am.
B. The next monthly meeting will be at the Annandale Elementary School on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 7:00 pm held in person in the media center.

Annandale Public School District 876 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD – NOVEMBER 14, 2022 AT 7:30 AM
Jones called the meeting to order at 7:45 am.
1. Board members present: Katie Jones, Jennifer Mealey, Paul Zabinski and Melissa Muehring-Paulson. Not present: Gena Jacobson and Jon Scheer.
2. Mealey moved for approval of the agenda items. Muehring-Paulson seconded. Motion carried 4-0.

4. New Business
A. Member Mealey moved the adoption of the Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes of the School District General Election. As specified in the attached Abstract and Return of Votes Cast, voters of the district voted at said general election on the election of three (3) school board members for four (4) year term vacancies on the board caused by expiration of term on the first Monday in January next following the general election as follows: Melissa Muehring-Paulson – 3364, Jennifer Mealey – 3218, Gena Marie Jacobson – 3095, write in votes – 114. Melissa Muehring-Paulson, Jennifer Mealey, and Gena Marie Jacobson, having received the Highest number of votes, are elected to four (4) year terms beginning on the first Monday in January 2023. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Zabinski and upon vote being taken thereon, thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Jones, Mealey, Muehring-Paulson, and Zabinski. and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
B. Member Zabinski introduced the Resolution authorizing issuance of certificates of election and directing the school district clerk to perform other election related duties, and moved its adoption: The chair and clerk are hereby authorized to execute certificates of election on behalf of the school board of Independent School District No. 876 to the following candidates: Melissa Muehring-Paulson, Jennifer Mealey, and Gena Marie Jacobson, who have received a sufficiently large number of votes to be elected to fill vacancies on the board caused by expiration of term on the first Monday in January next following the election, based on the results of the canvass. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mealey and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Jones, Mealey, Muehring-Paulson, and Zabinski and the following voted against the same: None, where upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
