
Robert L. Henry, age 89, of Annandale, formerly of Bloomington, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Todd Nelsen will officiate. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Annandale. Robert Lee Henry was born Feb. 18, 1933, in Belfield, North Dakota to Michael and Rachel (Monte) Henry. At a young age, he moved with his family to Sebeka. On Aug. 14, 1961, he was united in marriage to Vivian Johnson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After working in windows and doors for Clear Corp. and Crown Aluminum, Bob worked in structural maintenance for 27 years for the Bloomington Independent School District 271. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale. Bob enjoyed building bird feeders and bird houses, watching the birds, and working outside on the yard and in the flower garden. Known as Mr. Fixit by his friends and neighbors, Bob was more than a jack of all trades, he was a master. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian of Annandale; children, Linda (Todd) Kiecker of Fairfax and Jeffery Henry of Annandale; two children from a previous marriage; two granddaughters, Kristina and Amanda Kiecker; three great-granddaughters, Tyler Kiecker, Taschara and Taylah Poser; two great-great-granddaughters and a great-great-grandson; brother, Monte Patrick Henry of Florida; and many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alex, James, Raymond, and Earl; and two sisters, Mary and Louise. The urn bearers will be Kristina Kiecker, Amanda Kiecker, Mike Thul, and Clair Nelson. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
