John Ledwein

John Franklin Ledwein (Jack) age 88 of Annandale, Minn., died Monday, February 9, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale, with a prayer service following at 11 a.m.

John F. Ledwein, the son of Franklin J. Ledwein and Gladys M. Jolicoeur, was born on August 13, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a 1955 graduate of Annandale High School and went into the U.S. Navy that year. He married JoAnn Meyer on June 22, 1957, and they had four children, Lynne, Laurie, Lonie and Daniel Ledwein.

He worked at Frank’s Bait Shop and Ledwein Wholesale Bait in Annandale. He later purchased Frank’s Sport Shop and in 1982 he started Annandale Parts Supply until he retired in 1999.

John was a member of the Annandale Fire Department and a first responder. He was also a member of the Annandale Lions Club and Snowmobile Club.

John is survived by his wife JoAnn, children Lynne Dalbec of Annandale, Laurie Johnson of Ramsey, Lonie (Paul) Nei of East Bethel, and Daniel (Karla) Ledwein of Annandale; grandchildren, Derrick (Kristy), Darin (Ashley), Daniel (Heidi) Dalbec, Jessica (Manuel) Camarena and Andrew and Samuel Johnson, Noah and Evan Nei, Tyler (Meghan) and Spencer Ledwein, and 15 great-grandchildren; brother James (Jean) Ledwein of Annandale, sister Kathleen (Robert) Smith of Cokato, and several nieces and nephews

John F. Ledwein is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Ledwein, Gladys Jolicoeur, step mother Harriet Ledwein, sister Patricia Ledwein Kittock, brother William Ledwein, step brothers Donald Knutson, Thomas Knutson, James Knutson, step sister Barbra Wiegand and brother-in-law Wesley Wiegand.
