Cardinals compete at Section 5AA True Team meet

The Cardinal boys and girls track and field teams traveled to Rocori High School last Tuesday for the annual True Team meet. The True Team meet is a unique one for Minnesota track and field teams. Originating in 1987, the format was designed to combat a growing phenomenon of teams with few athletes winning “team” championships. The True Team model tests the true depth of a team by allowing two athletes from each team to participate in an event, thereby heightening the competition while intensifying the scoring potential for the team.
