Members of the Annandale Improvement Club gathered on Thursday, May 22, to brighten up the town with fresh flowers for the summer season. Above, from left, Jill Bishop, Rose Mary Nelson and Nancy Pattee Hector fill a planter at Clock Tower Park. The project involved many groups and businesses in town, including the City of Annandale, which helped prepare the planters; the Lions and Kiwanis, who raked out the bigger garden areas; the Annandale Key Club and advisor Rob Tengwall, who spread mulch; Mid-Minnesota Landscape Supply and Jerry Liebhard, who volunteered to deliver the mulch; Barb Westman and Susan Stochl, who designed the gardens; and Fairhaven Farm, which grew the flowers. In addition, Cafe Jules and In Hot Water supplied free drinks for the workers.
