Thomas Wenzel Kelly, 85, of South Haven passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Buffalo Hospital as a result of cardiac arrest. Honoring his wishes, Tom’s body was donated to the Anatomy Bequest Program at the University of Minnesota. There will be a private family Mass and burial at a later date. Tom was born on the family farm south of Annandale on January, 8, 1934, to Joseph and Doris (Wenzel) Kelly. He attended country school and graduated from Annandale High School in 1952. He served his country honorably in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He was united in marriage to Frances Mary Blizil on Feb. 27, 1960, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Tom was a dairy farmer and later a truck driver delivering lumber and millwork. He loved the outdoors and nature. In his younger years, he was an avid sportsman. Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances; daughters, Theresa (Glenn) Kranz of St. Cloud, Anne (Jeff) Hoel of Menomonie, Wisconsin, Julie (Tom) Rhoda of Foreston; sons, Richard Kelly of St. Cloud and Sean (Valerie) Kelly of Burtrum; grandchildren, Faith Dammann of Minneapolis, Will Kranz of St. Cloud, Whitney Dressen of Phoenix, Arizona, Taylor Dressen of Hudson, Wisconsin, Devany Dressen of Menomonie, Wisconsin, Quinn (Nicole) Rhoda of Garrison, Megan (Jeff) Lilja of Foley, Collin, Jesika and Connor Kelly of Burtrum; great-grandchildren, Kasen, Charlie, Ava, Brielle and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris Kelly; brothers, Robert, Darrell and Richard; sisters, Deloris Ervasti and Colleen Magrum; and granddaughter, Lindsey Dressen.
