Kevin Floyd Brown was born July 5, 1960, in Buffalo to Floyd and Maxine (Holmquist) Brown. He graduated from Annandale High School with the class of 1978 and furthered his education at Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois. He came back to Annandale to work at the family business, Brown’s Velvet Ice Cream. In 1990, the creamery was sold to Upper Lakes Foods, and he continued to make the high quality ice cream for their distribution until 2005. After the creamery closed, he did many other jobs, one being a manager for Chick-Fil-A, which he enjoyed.

Kevin was married to Mary Premo on Oct. 7, 1990, and divorced in 2015. They were blessed with two children, Mackenzie Joy Brown and Hunter Floyd Brown. Kevin will most be remembered for his love of people, food and entertaining. Spending time with him meant you would be fed the best of foods, such as homemade pizza, French fries, monster cookies and beef stew.

Baseball was a love of his life and he enjoyed pitching for the Maple Lake Lakers in his younger years. His family will miss his caring heart, his dry sense of humor and the way he always tried to cheat while playing board games. Kevin struggled with alcohol addiction for many years. They are incredibly thankful that he gave his life to Jesus at a young age.
