Jean A. Peery, age 86, of Annandale, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at her home in Albion Township. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Alex Becker will officiate. Family requests that attendees wear a mask while attending services. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. Jean Adela Peery was born on May 19, 1935, in Dorchester, NE to John and Adela (Safranek) Belka. She grew up in Crete, NE, graduating from Crete High School with the Class of 1952. On July 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Jerry Peery at Grace United Methodist Church in Crete, NE. They lived a short time in Crete, prior to moving to Lincoln, NE, where they started their family. Following Jerry’s work career, they then lived in St. Joseph, MN, St. Cloud, MN, and Aberdeen, SD. In 1971, they moved to Annandale, MN, where they purchased Jack and Jill Grocery Store; changing it’s name to Peery’s Jack and Jill. They retired in 1995. Jean was a member of Christian Women and The Sewing Club in Annandale. She also volunteered her time at the Annandale Care Center. Jean enjoyed traveling, watching movies, playing games, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Annandale; sons, Mark (Mona), John (Bobbi), and Tim (Lisa), all of Annandale; six grandchildren, Shawn (Stacey), Steve (Amanda), Audra (Rob Phillips), Brandon (Seojin), Danielle (Kyle), and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Eva, Spencer and Callen; and sister, Gladys Stephens of Milford, NE.
