
Julie K. Terwey, age 60, of South Haven, Minnesota died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, as a result of an automobile accident.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kimball with Rev. David Buchs officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Julie Kay Lange was born on July 11, 1964, in Montevideo, Minnesota, to Robert and Diana (Kling) Lange. Julie grew up in the communities of Montevideo and Monticello before her family settled in Kimball. Julie was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball. She was a 1982 graduate of Kimball High School. Julie furthered her education at St. Cloud Technical College obtaining an accounting degree. She worked for Best Buy in Richfield beginning in May of 1984 as part of the computer operations team. In 2013, Julie began working for Land O’Lakes in Arden Hills. On Dec. 9, 1989, Julie was united in marriage to Gary J. Terwey at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball. They made their home in Annandale, prior to moving to their current home in rural South Haven for the past 22 years.
Julie found joy in the simple pleasures of life – from reading and traveling to baking and listening to music. She had a love for nature, particularly flowers, birds, cats, and cows. But above all, Julie cherished her family, and the time spent with them. Road trips to the North Shore were a favorite pastime, creating lasting memories that will be treasured.
Julie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gary of South Haven; her loving daughters, Megan (Derek) Foster of St. Cloud and Haley Terwey of Melrose; parents, Robert and Diana Lange of Kimball; sisters, Tanya (Pete) Scott and Kristy (Jeff) Imholte both of South Haven; step-granddaughter, Alexis Foster; niece and nephew, Raya Scott and Trent Terwey; mother-in-law, Sharon (Tim) Sullivan; brother-in-law, Tim (Jodi) Terwey; sister-in-law, Penny Mitchell; and other family members and friends.
Memorials are preferred to your local Humane Society.
