Marion K. Goodman, age 97, of St. Petersburg Florida, formerly of Excelsior, Minnesota, died Monday Oct. 21, 2024 at Westminster Palms, St. Petersburg Florida

Marion was born on May 9, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Earl and Lillian King. She proudly grew up in southwest Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis Southwest High School. Marion attended the University of Minnesota before marrying Roger Goodman on June 30, 1950. They made their home in Excelsior and Navarre and raised seven children. For many years, they enjoyed spending time at their lake cabin on Clearwater Lake in Annandale, Minnesota and their property in Minong, Wisconsin. They moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1978 when Roger was transferred there.
Marion lived a full life of love and devotion. She was dedicated to her family and found joy in volunteering at schools, church, civic matters and mission trips. She touched the lives of many.
She is survived by four daughters: Kathryn (Mark) Tripp of Hugo, Minnesota, Susan (Timothy) Jesaitis, Shirley (Karl) Pekarek and Cynthia (Matthew) Franzese all of St. Petersburg, Florida, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Nancy Passolt of Minneapolis, Connie Dosen of Edina and many nieces and nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Lillian, husband Roger, children James, Thomas and Jill.
