ANNANDALE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 876 SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING OCTOBER 8, 2020 AT 6:00PM ANNANDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MEDIA CENTER
1. Jones called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M.
2. Board Members present were: Gena Jacobson, Katie Jones, Jennifer Mealey, Melissa Muehring-Paulson, Jon Scheer, and Paul Zabinski. Absent: Student Representative Noelle Scheer
3. Mealey moved to approve the Agenda. Zabinski seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
4. No Community Concerns
5. New Business A. Member Scheer introduced the Resolution Awarding the sale, determining the form and details, authorizing the execution, delivery and registration, and providing for the payment of general obligation school building refunding bonds, series 2020

A. and moved for its adoption. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Mealey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Scheer, Mealey, Zabinski, Jacobson, Muehring-Paulson, and Jones. and the following voted against the same: None. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

6.Information Items

A.The next monthly meeting will be at AES on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 7:00 pm at AES Bendix Media Center

5. Community Concerns. Torie Guadagni had questions regarding the meal program. Hannah Fischer spoke about the pandemic and restrictions placed on schools.

D. Zabinski moved for approval of adoption of required annual policy 616 School District System Accountability after tonight’s third reading. Scheer seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
E. Zabinski moved to approve the following current policies in the review cycle. Mealey seconded. Motion carried 6-0. 1. 526 Hazing Prohibition 2. 529 Staff Notification of Violent Behavior by Students 3. 531 The Pledge of Allegiance
F. Mealey moved to approve a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 6:00 pm to review the resolution awarding the sale of bonds. Scheer seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
G. Mealey moved to approve the maximum Proposed Property Tax Levy amount. Zabinski seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
H. Scheer moved to approve the following contracts. Mealey seconded. Motion carried 6-0.
