
Craig Allen Johnson, born Oct. 26, 1957, and passed away on May 24, 2021, in the comfort of the home he built in Temecula, California. After a long battle of fighting cancer, he has peacefully passed away into the loving arms of his Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Craig was a loving friend, uncle, brother, but most importantly a father to his two daughters, Kaitlyn (26) and Laine (24). Craig was known for his love and talent of all sports, and was a well-known athlete in his hometown of Annandale, Minnesota. Craig loved to remind everyone around him that he was 10th in the nation for the amount of passing receiving yards per catch while attending Willmar College. Craig was gifted with such a unique talent and could fix and build anything with his bare hands. Craig created and built a successful landscaping business, Turfs Up Landscaping Inc. that started in Annandale, Minnesota and was then relocated in southern California. Craig leaves behind his two daughters Kaitlyn and Laine who were his entire world. The bond with his daughters was so special and he made sure everyone knew about the love he had for them. Craig also leaves behind his parents, Leo and Betty Johnson alongside his siblings; Scott (Shelly) Johnson, Connie Glazier, Ron (Mary) Johnson, Jody (Steve) Pellegrene, Coreen Dougherty, and Christine (Brad) Fobbe. Craig also known as Uncle Craig leaves behind the countless number of nieces and nephews that he loved as if they were his own. Craig will now rest easy alongside his nephew Grant Glazier, brother in-law Michael Dougherty, and brother Kent Johnson. Craig had such a way of showing compassion and has the world’s biggest heart. Craig had a passion for helping others and was such a giving man in all that he did. He loved to make others laugh and would go to great lengths to get a laugh out of anyone. He always spread love and kindness and was always a light in the room no matter where he was. His light will continue on through his two daughters. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 18, at St. Ignatius Church. There will be a celebration of life following the service at Southbrook Golf Course.
